Dynamic Future at Hilton Garden Inn Debrecen: Unique Interiors and Premium Quality

The new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Debrecen is not just a new addition to the city’s hospitality offerings — it’s a redefinition of how a modern hotel interior can function and inspire. In close collaboration between Westwood Group and BIS Architects, the goal was to bring Hilton’s international standards to life while creating a space that is distinctly contemporary, versatile, and uniquely Debrecen.

Urban comfort for modern travelers

Located at the very heart of Debrecen, the hotel was designed to meet the needs of today’s business and leisure travelers. The design approach focused on creating a lively, youthful, urban living experience. The Hilton Garden Inn interior identity emphasizes natural materials and warm, inviting tones, enriched by vibrant accents that bring movement and personality into each space. The interiors are multifunctional — designed to feel comfortable at any time of day or night, whether for work, rest, or relaxation.

Collaborative design, custom solutions

From day one, the project was built on a foundation of constant communication and detailed coordination between architects, manufacturers, and contractors. After the initial design phase, product plans were developed in close collaboration with designers and fabricators, with on-site conditions and technical specifics always in focus.

A full-size mock-up room allowed us to fine-tune materials and functionality in real-world conditions — a key factor in delivering a final result that meets both aesthetic and practical expectations.

Every detail counts: design built to last

In the 101-room hotel, all furniture — both built-in and mobile — as well as interior elements and finishes, were designed to deliver long-term performance, comfort, and durability. Every product met or exceeded Hilton’s strict international standards, while also complying with LEED Gold-level sustainability and operational efficiency requirements. Our focus on material quality, craftsmanship, and technical execution ensured every item — from guestroom desks to corridor wall paneling and public space joinery — not only fulfilled, but surpassed expectations.

More than interiors — a shared vision

As Soma Dala, CEO of Westwood, explains:

“It fills me with special pride to have contributed to the realization of the newest hotel in my hometown. Not only did we add a new dimension to Debrecen’s hospitality scene, but we also built a strong partnership with a globally recognized brand — helping ensure the project’s success from start to finish.”
